Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Operations Specialist - NGL located in DUO Tower, Singapore through May 24, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. (Singapore Standard Time).

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
1. Handles all operational and scheduling matters relating to LPG/NGLs
Liaises with operational personnel of suppliers, receivers, equity loading terminals, system refineries, internal shipping, supply optimization, refining, marketing personnel, surveyors, and inspectors to efficiently schedule products movements, including timely nominations, inspections, documentations, credit clearance and ship/terminal clearance.
Works closely with internal trading, shipping groups to identify opportunities for the most economical handling of the product movements. Recommends appropriate actions and clears each cargo/parcel movement, including the logistics of moving multi-grade products and handles/solves the products specifications problems when they arise.
Works independently in handling a varying degree of complex operational issues/problems, shipping operation problems, analytical work, research of records, use of computer model scheduling programs, etc.
Liaises with appropriate internal parties regarding invoicing, letter of credits, demurrage, and inspection bills.
2. Maintains daily loading and delivery program summaries for traders & team members to access
3. Assists internal LPG/NGL traders in their trading efforts by promptly providing relevant market intelligence picked up during operational business activities and communications, as possible input for trading opportunities, from good customer/industry relationship
4. Assists internal LPG/NGL traders in evaluating the economics & viabilities of potential business opportunities incorporating logistics & operational factors
5. Maintains operation files for each cargo movement to ensure all available data, documentation & correspondence are accurate, to facilitate claims and disputes, if any
6. Savvy in learning and picking up new technologies and digital system
7. Partner with other groups across supply & trading to share information and identify additional value opportunities and to assist commercial analyst in the development of short-term fundamental market views using fundamental models and analysis
8. Communicate plans and contingencies to traders, partners in Upstream and Downstream organizations and the Value Chain Optimization team as needed
9. Interact with the trading teams and management for input to test opportunities against company’s strategic intents
10. Establish and maintain a network of contacts
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Experience in the energy, manufacturing, transportation and/or finance industry in a commodity trading organization
Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
Excellent communication skills
Digital mindset and innovative thinker
Passion to grow in the trading organization
This job may require working after office hours to complete operational tasks.
Knowledge and experience in IT including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
Proven ability to work in a diverse group and strong team player.
Relocation Options:
