The COVID-19 pandemic hasn't gone away and many New Zealanders are still at risk of severe outcomes if they test positive. Bringing Pfizer’s purpose to life is more critical than ever as we collectively battle COVID-19. As part of our five-point plan to fight COVID-19, Pfizer is attempting to develop both preventive measures (vaccines) and therapeutics (antivirals). Pfizer has a unique opportunity for a Primary Care Health Representative - Auckland South to continue the launch of our first-in-class antiviral, specifically developed for COVID-19.

What You Will Achieve
Our Health Representatives are the central contact in connecting GPs & other primary care stakeholders to COVID-19 prevention and treatment. The Health Representative role is consultative and one that will result in truly valued relationships with a variety of healthcare professionals including GPs, nurses and pharmacists. Coupled with a passion to ensure equitable access across diverse cultures and communities, support Māori health equity, and strive for inclusivity across all eligible patients, the Health Representative will take a holistic approach in supporting COVID-19 patient care in their territory.
The Health Representative will draw on knowledge and understanding of sales, the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and an understanding of the primary care environment, to help stakeholders elevate patient care and make a real difference in the health of New Zealanders.
How You Will Achieve It
  • Demonstrate strong healthcare professional relationship focus, establishing trusting relationships through a comprehensive, patient centric approach
  • Gaining deep understanding of the current environment and HCP needs
  • Sharing objective and scientifically sound information through sales conversations, tailoring data, and delivering both promotional and educational activities that provide HCPs opportunities for improving patient care
  • Delivering seamless & compliant reactive only connections to internal Pfizer experts and resources
  • Act as a single point of contact for relevant Pfizer medicines
  • Leverage virtual/digital channels to support interactions
  • Responsible for familiarising HCPs with digital service offerings, materials and support tailored to their needs
  • Knowledgeable of HCP preferences for content and channels to orchestrate an ideal customer experience through relevant content selection
  • Ensuring customers gain the best value from Pfizer services
  • Planning and managing territory activity to provide regular contact with HCPs across metro and rural locations, as well as providing support virtually – with flexibility to adapt and change based on HCP & patient needs
  • Seeking and developing awareness of external market conditions to drive exceptional customer support and insights, connecting customer discussions with external trends, and feeding back HCP insights & external developments to Pfizer colleagues
  • Establishing a strong working relationship with the internal Pfizer teams and collaborating to improve service offerings
  • Managing and achieving annual targets and ensuring adherence to Compliance, Legal, Medical and Regulatory requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have
  • A Tertiary Degree preferred in Business or Science or a healthcare background (e.g. pharmacist, nurse) with solid knowledge of the industry.
  • Curiosity and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Analytical skills to identify the connections between data, products and the needs of both Health Care Professionals and patients.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to help build trusted, sustainable relationships with your internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of the digital space and a willingness to keep learning and upskilling.
  • Strategic thinking and planning to help stakeholders see beyond the day-to-day.
  • Agility, adaptability to change and seasoned negotiation skills.
  • Commercial and business acumen, managing financial budgets, driving sales and achieving performance measures.
  • Sound knowledge of NZ Medicines Code of Practice
  • Able to connect with external stakeholders virtually and in person
  • Can-do attitude and a work ethic underpinned by determination and commitment
  • Valid Driver's Licence and ability to travel within NZ
The Health Representative should:
  • Be proficient at identifying key stakeholders and networks in a defined territory; creating effective, strategic and measurable territory plans;
  • Have demonstrated experience delivering tailored and effective sales conversations and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders;
  • Have know-how to successfully launch new products; and
  • Demonstrate flexibility to drive meaningful conversations in an omnichannel setting.
