Responsibilities
Coordinates Volunteer Services for Cancer Services provides ongoing group and individual/family support mechanisms. This position is liaison between Medical Oncology and Cancer Center makes resources available to patients and staff markets cancer services to the community with a variety of programs. This position provides support resources for patients/families of all ages. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organizations strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as an MSW in a hospital setting
- Master’s Degree - Masters Degree in counseling or related field (i.e. M.F.C.C. MSW Psychology etc.)
- Must be able to motivate people and demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills. Program development and evaluation are key components to this position.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Cancer Support Services locally state-wide and nationally and the method to access information etc
