The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana at the University of Montana in Missoula is seeking an ABFM-certified family physician for our community based program. The person selected for this position will be a core member of the Residency Teaching Faculty and the Kalispell Site Director: responsible for developing and implementing the Kalispell track of the residency program, teaches residents, supervises residents and students in the provision of patient care, provides direct patient care in the in! patient and outpatient setting, participates in scholarly acti! vity, and serves as leader and role model for residents. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other faculty members to help develop and create a high quality Family Medicine Residency Program and will be based in Kalispell, MT.
The Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana is a new residency program sponsored by the University of Montana in Missoula, MT in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. It is located in Missoula, a cosmopolitan Rocky Mountain community of approximately 80,000, often singled out in national publications for its quality of life. The surrounding areas offer abundant recreational options, including hiking, biking, skiing, hunting, rafting, fly-fishing, and bird-watching. Nearby Glacier National Park and Yellowstone National Park complement a thriving intellectual atmosphere.
The successful candidate will become an employee of the University of Montana with an annual salary based on experience and a full benefits packag! e.
This is a 0.50 FTE position to begin and will become 1.0 FTE in July 2014 with obstetric skills and call required.
Experience Required
Demonstrated experience and competence in teaching and patient care
MD/DO degree
Must possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Montana
DEA Certificate
Board Certified in Family Medicine including Obstetrics and inpatient medicine
Must have or be able to obtain medical staff privileges at Kalispell Regional Medical Center and Flathead Community Health Center
Candidates with experience in family medicine teaching/practice are strongly encouraged to apply.
